We helped our Long Island landscape design clients in Northport, NY feel at home again after Hurricane Sandy. By creating a 3D landscape design, they were able to visualize their yard and see the added value of having a plan.

The raised deck with pergola has a full outdoor kitchen with built-in benches that provide much-needed storage. The deck overlooks the bluestone patio, private beach, and boat dock. The gas fire pit and tile water wall adds character for all-day enjoyment.

Objectives

Create a space with multiple layers that blends the indoor and outdoor building materials
Add storage under the deck with convenient and easy access
Continue the beach house bungalow theme with a contemporary furniture flair and traditional bluestone

Challenges

Utilize building materials that can withstand the ocean water spray
