Need some ideas about how to incorporate travertine into your landscape design? Here’s some great inspiration photos to get you started…
Travertine is one our favorite materials to use in landscape design here at Designing With Elements. It’s a beautiful modern, yet natural, accent and comes in a variety of colors, from white, to cream, gray, brown, coral-red and tan. This stone can be left rough or polished smooth. And it can be used in all areas of masonry including walkways, pools, patios, façades and siding, even bars and countertops in fire features.
Although travertine is sometimes called travertine marble, it is actually a type of limestone and has been used since the Roman-era for construction purposes. In fact, Rome’s famous Colosseum is constructed almost entirely of travertine. If you’re looking for longevity and classic style, travertine has it in spades.
